Dr. Dennis L. Sta. Ana, alongside Engr. William Scheirman and Dr. Randy Talamayan, envisioned to bring Makati Life Medical Center to life by transforming the OSMAK 2 building into a world-class facility that offers accessible, high-quality healthcare to all. Fueled by their shared passion for uplifting community health, this vision gained the support of Mr. Johnny Uy, who recognized their commitment to delivering better care for the people.
The vision for Makati Life Medical Center took a significant step forward. The founders established Life Nurture Inc.(LNI) to spearhead the project. They submitted an unsolicited proposal to the City Government of Makati under a Public-Private Partnership (PPP) framework. This effort earned them the coveted Original Proponent Status, marking the official beginning of Makati Life Medical Center’s journey to redefine healthcare in the city.
The collaboration between LifeNurture Inc. (LNI) and the City Government of Makati reached a pivotal milestone with the formal signing of the Joint Venture Agreement. This landmark partnership cemented their shared commitment to establishing Makati Life Medical Center, bringing their vision of accessible and high-quality healthcare closer to reality.
Makati Life secured Php 9.7 billion in investments with the support of the Makati City Government and major financial institutions, making it the largest and only Public-Private Partnership (PPP) hospital in the country. Recognized even before its opening, Makati Life received the “Public-Private Healthcare Partnership Award” at the Healthcare Asia Awards that solidify its role as a groundbreaking model for transforming healthcare nationwide.
Makati Life's resilience was evident when, amidst ongoing construction, the Outpatient Department (OPD)opened in May 2023, offering 24/7 primary care services. Gradually, the range of services expanded, transforming the OPD into a multi-specialty, multi-channel clinic. In October, Makati Life launched its “Human Experience Program,” going beyond the conventional patient-centered approach, recognizing the interconnectedness of all stakeholders in the patient journey to deliver a truly holistic healthcare experience.
Makati Life’s Outpatient Department (OPD) has seen 387,930 unique patients, catering to an average of 700–800 patients daily. This year marked significant advancements with the introduction of MRI, CT Scan, and 3D Mammogram services, boosting diagnostic accuracy and early detection capabilities. Additionally, the launch of the Ambulatory Surgical Center revolutionized outpatient procedures, ensuring greater efficiency and elevated patient care.
