Dr. Sta. Ana combines clinical depth with visionary management across hospitals, clinics, pharmacies, and wellness communities. His work reflects a commitment to accessible, modern, and integrated healthcare solutions.

Engr. William Russell Scheirman Jr. is the President and CEO of Scheirman Construction Consolidated Inc. (SCCI), a Quadruple-A, ISO-certified firm at the forefront of Philippine infrastructure development. An engineer by training and entrepreneur by practice, he expanded SCCI’s reach into real estate, healthcare, and BPO, transforming it into a diversified, multi-sector company. His expertise lies in delivering large-scale, high-impact projects with a strong foundation in quality, safety, and operational excellence. William plays a pivotal role in the real estate and healthcare infrastructure developments of Makati Life and its affiliate entities. Dr. Ermin Edgardo “Ross” Ona is the Chief Operating Officer of Makati Life Medical Center and a distinguished surgeon-executive with over 20 years of clinical, hospital, and healthcare management experience. A board-certified surgeon and Fellow of the American College of Surgeons, he has held key leadership roles—including President of Batangas Healthcare Specialists Medical Center, President of the Medical Staff Organization at Daniel Mercado Medical Center, and Chairman of Surgery at The Medical City South Luzon. He also served for 18 years as Regional Physician Coordinator for Intellicare/Avega, bridging hospital operations with healthcare insurance. Dr. Ona holds degrees in Medicine, Nursing, and Zoology, and is currently completing his MBA in Healthcare Management. His deep expertise in clinical governance and strategic execution positions him as a vital force in building integrated and accessible healthcare systems in the Philippines.

Josephine “Jo” C. Aguilar is the Senior Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer of Makati Life Medical Center, with over 30 years of leadership in healthcare insurance, hospital marketing, and business development. She was formerly SVP and Head of Marketing and Industry Relations at one of the Philippines’ leading hospitals and held a long-standing executive role in a top HMO. Jo is recognized for pioneering personalized, concierge-style healthcare services and driving strategic partnerships. Her expertise blends clinical insight with innovative health solutions, making her a key force behind Makati Life’s patient-centric growth strategy. She also leads HWRU and 1818 Medical Solutions, as President and CEO, specializing in medical concierge and corporate health benefits design.

Dr. Brian M. Icasas Cabral is the Senior Vice President, Chief Medical Officer, and Medical Director of Makati Life Medical Center. A U.S.-trained nephrologist and transplant specialist, he previously served as Medical Director and Senior Vice President of St. Luke’s Medical Center–Global City. He holds a master’s in medical management from Carnegie Mellon University and brings over 20 years of clinical and hospital leadership experience. Dr. Cabral is a recognized voice in healthcare strategy, public-private partnerships, and medical advocacy in the Philippines. He also serves as Local Medical Expert for PwC Philippines and is a Clinical Associate Professor at the UP College of Medicine

Dr. Jonas C. Subido is the Senior Vice President and Head of the Professional Management Office at Makati Life Medical Center, where he leads project governance, institutional alignment, and strategic coordination under the Office of the President and CEO. A board-certified ophthalmologist and vitreoretinal surgeon with over 20 years of clinical and administrative experience, he completed his subspecialty training under esteemed retina specialist Dr. Pearl Tamesis-Villalon. He currently serves as Chairman of the Department of Ophthalmology and Eye Center at Makati Life. Dr. Subido has also held leadership roles in a major tertiary hospital eye institute, including Retina Section Chief, Assistant Director, and Fellowship Training Officer. Joegar Carandang is a results-driven finance executive with over 30 years of leadership experience in healthcare, real estate, construction, and retail industries. As SVP for Finance, he has successfully led financial strategy, capital valuation, and business transformation initiatives. His expertise spans financial modeling, risk management, and corporate planning, consistently driving profitability and operational efficiency. Joegar helped secured multi-billion-peso deal and implemented data-driven decision frameworks across top-tier organizations. He holds multiple graduate-level qualifications in economics, accountancy, and analytics from prestigious institutions.

Ma. Michaela “Chaela” C. Canlas is the Senior Vice President of the Support Services Division at Makati Life Medical Center, where she led critical pre-opening efforts and now oversees engineering, biomed, safety, and operational support units. She previously served as Vice President and Group Head of Support Services at St. Luke’s Medical Center, managing operations across its Quezon City and Global City campuses. With over 20 years of experience in operations and hospitality, she is known for advancing service excellence and food safety standards. Chaela is a recipient of the prestigious MABUHAY Award for Catering Manager of the Year and has spoken at global conferences. She holds degrees and certifications from UP Diliman, AIM, and Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management.

Lawrence “Law” Sibayan serves as Chief of Staff and Vice President for Marketing and Business Development at Makati Life Medical Center, where he leads strategic initiatives under a pioneering Private-Public Partnership in healthcare. He holds a master’s in business administration from the Ateneo Graduate School of Business and completed the Management Development Program at the Asian Institute of Management. With over a decade of experience, Law previously held executive management roles in marketing and business development at some of the Philippines’ top hospitals. He is also Owner and Vice President for Marketing at Brightcare Assist, a leader in international medical assistance and insurance TPA services. Recognized as Asia’s Top Outstanding Youth Marketer in 2023, Law also serves as an adjunct instructor and former director of the Philippine Marketing Association. Her extensive background includes managing high-acuity units such as ICU, CV Lab, and Telemetry in top-tier institutions. An active figure in global nursing communities, she served as Past President of the Southeast Asia Federation of Critical Care Nurses and represents the Philippines in the WFCCN. Chito Permejo is the Assistant Medical Director and Chief of Clinics at Makati Life Medical Center, where he leads critical care operations with a strong focus on clinical excellence, operational efficiency, and strategic service expansion. A cardiovascular intensivist specializing in hemodynamics and ICU management, he is an advocate for evidence-based practices that drive superior patient outcomes.
