Summary of Cases Not Covered by the Yellow Card Program

The following categories and related scenarios are not covered under the Yellow Card assistance:

  1. Alcohol Intoxication
  1. Cases involving alcohol-related injuries, intoxication, or complications due to excessive drinking.
  1. Early Pregnancy
  1. Consultations for unconfirmed or early-stage pregnancies without complications, pregnancy tests, or family planning services.
  1. Medico-Legal Cases
  1. Incidents requiring legal documentation such as assault, vehicular accidents, gunshot/stab wounds, or any case reported to authorities.
  1. Abortion
  1. All types of abortion cases, including induced, incomplete, spontaneous (miscarriage), and post-abortion care.
  1. Beautification or Cosmetic Procedures
  1. Any consultation, treatment, or procedure done for aesthetic or beautification purposes (e.g., skin whitening, botox, cosmetic surgery).

If the patient is intoxicated, is this covered by the Yellow Card?

No. Cases related to intoxication are not covered due to self-negligence.

What if the Yellow Card is about to expire?

If the Yellow Card is set to expire within 24 hours, the cardholder must initiate the renewal process. The City Government of Makati may issue a temporary or pass certification indicating that the Yellow Card renewal is in process.

What if the patient is dependent of the Yellow Card holder?

The Yellow Card holder must present the MHP Data Record or Dependent Information as proof of relationship.
